Evacuation of a passenger cabin on a cruise ship: Virtual Reality used for training and e-learning purposes.

Solution & Result:

The evacuation of passenger cabins on a cruise ship needs to be trained in a memorable and persistent manner while conveying the safety and security aspect convincingly. The evacuation process was realised as Virtual Reality application using the Samsung Gear Virtual Reality glasses. Synergies were reached by using 3D models of existing animations and thus saved considerable time and money for our customer. Virtual Reality applications are the innovative enhancement of classical training methods and a perfect fit when huge, multilingual crews have to be trained.
