Challenge

The project aimed to showcase the capabilities and unique features of North Sea Port, a logistics company, in an engaging and informative way. The goal was to clearly communicate its unique selling proposition (USP) compared to larger ports and competitors. While the focus was on ensuring the information was understandable to the general public, it also needed to be relevant to specific target groups in business, politics, and logistics.

The port positions itself as a highly complex, versatile ecosystem: with a diversified service portfolio, modern and fully sustainable warehouse facilities, and a key role in energy transformation.

A key topic was the sustainability of the port, with the goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2050.

Solution

We developed a 3D-animated explainer video in English, supplemented by a professional voiceover and subtitles. The visual style was developed in close collaboration with the client and specifically tailored to the port's positioning.

A striking miniature look with dynamic zooming in and out forms the visual basis of the film. The targeted use of blur draws attention to relevant content and creates visual depth. A particular eye-catcher is the 3D map look, which serves as a central narrative element.

The film's content follows a modular, building-block principle: new information is added gradually via flying information elements. This approach also formed the basis for the further development of the map visualizations in other applications. The animation itself was also designed modularly: individual sections can be flexibly exchanged, shortened, or recombined. All of this content also formed the basis for a new corporate design.

Result

The result was two animated films, each approximately three minutes long, which are successfully used at trade fairs, forming a visual unit with the exhibition stand. In addition, adapted versions of the films are used on the website, on YouTube, and on LinkedIn.

Thanks to their modular structure, they serve as a long-term communication basis for marketing and public relations, making the sustainability, innovative strength and future viability of the port visible.
