2D Animations | Vehicle Construction
Challenge
The introduction of a state-of-the-art truck trailer presented the vehicle manufacturer with a dual challenge: On the one hand, complex mechanical advantages had to be explained in a way that was understandable to a target group that did not necessarily possess technical expertise. On the other hand, the focus had to be clearly on the measurable benefits, especially energy efficiency and significant fuel savings. A format was also needed for marketing, sales, and trade fair communication that would appeal to an emotional audience while also demonstrating the everyday benefits.
Solution
To make the technical complexity accessible, we developed a classic 2D explainer animation with a clearly structured dramaturgy. The focus was on a storytelling approach that guides the audience through the situation step by step:
1. Initial situation (rising prices, CO2 emissions…)
2. Problem statement
3. Innovative solution through the new trailer concept
4. Concrete benefits for the end customer. Likeable.
Characters evoked emotion and fostered identification, while visual metaphors elegantly simplified complex technical concepts. Stylistically, we opted for a modern, colorful flat style that appears contemporary while also offering high brand recognition.
Result
The result is an approximately 90-second animated film that can be flexibly used across numerous channels, such as on the website, in social media, for sales support, or as an eye-catcher at trade fairs. The animation significantly contributes to clearly and understandably positioning the product as an efficient, future-oriented solution and sustainably supports the sales process.
