Challenge
A consistent visual identity was needed for the ZDF television program "Insider," designed to work across multiple episodes. In addition to a flexible intro and outro, the requirement was to create explanatory graphics that would clearly convey complex content both between and within segments – all within a tight timeframe and budget.
Solution
We developed a format-specific, modular intro where key characters can be flexibly interchanged depending on the topic. For the explanatory graphics, we created a distinctive visual style that combines realistic paper and cardboard textures with an abstracted 3D look . This resulted in a consistent, recognizable framework that is maintained throughout the entire format.
Result
The developed look was used effectively across several episodes and supported more efficient production. The excellent design was repeatedly praised by the editorial management, the ratings were above average, and the format was successfully continued.
