Challenge
With the introduction of a new digital sales channel for spare parts, the mechanical engineering company faced the challenge of introducing its customers to self-service in the webshop. Many users first had to understand how the ordering process works, what features the shop offers, and why online ordering is a real convenience.
The key was to reduce existing barriers and build trust in the digital process.
Solution
To guide users through the new ordering process simply and clearly, we combined 2D animation with real screen captures from the online shop. A friendly animated character acted as a digital assistant, accompanying viewers step by step from product selection through the shopping cart to order completion.
Targeted visual highlights, such as icons and text overlays, enhance understanding and draw attention to the most important functions. This ensures that the process appears intuitive and easy to follow.
Result
The result was a roughly 90-second explainer video that clearly, simply, and accessibly explained the digital ordering process. It was used directly in the online shop and on the website, as well as on social media for promotion. The result: greater understanding and significantly increased acceptance of the online shop.
